Joel Price, dressed simply, was on his way to visit his grandmother when he was struck by a car driven by Melody Carson near a security checkpoint. Melody, under the impression that she had hit a security guard, initially paid little heed to him. However, Mary Carson, a compassionate soul, intervened and brought Joel to the hospital. When Mary visited her mother, Joel’s mother took an immediate liking to her and expressed a desire for Mary to become her granddaughter-in-law. Despite this, Mary was not inclined towards the idea.
